Since there’s been some misinterpretation of these tweets I’ll make my critique explicit: associating an unhoused registered sex offender with either candidate, in a piece meant to give NYT readers a snapshot of Pennsylvania voters, seems unfair. He clearly has the right to vote.

This latest Boogaloo Bois case involved the Task Force on Violent Anti-Government Extremists that AG Barr formed in June:

“…She opined to the OIG that perhaps this cable was being used to 'tap' her house. Further investigation by the OIG revealed that the cable was a common cable used by the provider…”

The NYT has now removed him from this piece, saying his inclusion “was inappropriate in a sampling of this kind.”

@MichaelWatsonDC  That was not my intent, but in retrospect I wish I’d been more clear that my critique was aimed at the NYT’s editorial choice. He has the right to vote for his preferred candidate, I just don’t think his inclusion was a service to NYT readers.

Here’s a photo of Justin Coffman at a protest in Jackson, Tennessee, carrying a “Cat Lovers Against White Supremacy” flag. A local protest organizer told me there’s been zero violence or destruction in connection with the protests in the city.

BREAKING: law enforcement officials have seized thousands of cloth masks that were mailed to four different cities to protect Black Lives Matter protesters from COVID-19:

Jim Jordan: “Do you know what a quid pro quo is?” Guy appointed as an ambassador after donating $1M to Trump’s inauguration: “I do.”

FBI Director Chris Wray on Antifa: It’s not a group or an organization, it’s a movement or an ideology.

The Daily Show has a truck going around the Capitol playing clips of Trump insulting senators sitting in his impeachment trial.

NEW: an elected prosecutor has resigned his role on Trump’s presidential commission on law enforcement, worried that its final report — which is due days before the election — “will only widen the divisions in our nation.”
