@KamalaHarris  is a proven fighter for justice, an outspoken defender of democracy, and the embodiment of the American dream. She is the perfect partner for @JoeBiden  as he works to make that dream accessible to all. I’m all in for #BidenHarris2020  #MadamVicePresident

Our veterans and military families deserve a leader whose word can be trusted, whose ideals lift people up and whose actions bring people together. I am honored to be speaking to the @DNCVetsMilFams  at 5 PM ET tmrw. RSVP here: #GoJoe  #DemConvention

Ruth Bader Ginsburg devoted her life to the powerful premise that every person counts. She was a warrior for justice, equality, and democracy. Thanks to her, those who carry on these fights will have not only history, but also the law, on their side. Rest in peace, RBG

Vote today, if you haven’t already, and then read this advice from my friend @rosenbergerlm . The next few days will demand patience and require us to have confidence in the electoral process.

As expected, Trump is trying to sow the seeds of chaos and attack the foundations of our democracy. The good news is that America’s future is in the voters’ hands, not his. Keep counting every vote.

Congratulations to our great new leaders, @JoeBiden  and @KamalaHarris . Let’s celebrate the resilience of our democracy and applaud the shattering of another glass ceiling. We need them, and they will need us, to bring the country together and restore the soul of America.

@Lesdoggg , the man walking on my jacket is Harry Truman, who was my first president when I came to the US in 1948. I would get you a pin but the @TrumanLibrary  gift shop is sold out. I’ll send you a copy of my book “Read My Pins” instead — enjoy!

My family came to America after fleeing a coup, so I know that freedom is fragile. But I never thought I would see such an assault on democracy be cheered on from the Oval Office. I believe in the resilience of democracy and eagerly await the arrival of new national leadership.

I am thrilled that @JoeBiden  is nominating Bill Burns to be the next CIA Director. When I was at the State Department, I benefited enormously from Bill’s sharp analytical mind and wise counsel. He is an exemplary public servant who can be counted on to lead CIA with integrity.

Amid all the turmoil, it’s critical for the Senate to support the smooth transfer of power by confirming the Biden-Harris national security team on Jan 20. This week I joined a distinguished group of colleagues in urging Senators to uphold this tradition

To be clear, immigrants, legal or not, are people who want to improve their lives. To refer to them as animals or insects is to foster hate. What’s happening in Washington and on our border is sad, wrong, and unamerican.

The only thing more stunning than the scale of Russian interference uncovered today is the fact that an American President is taking no action to protect our country against an ongoing threat. This is a dereliction of duty.

I was raised Catholic, became Episcopalian & found out later my family was Jewish. I stand ready to register as Muslim in #solidarity .

There is no fine print on the Statue of Liberty. America must remain open to people of all faiths & backgrounds. #RefugeesWelcome

It’s a good thing Devin Nunes is not taking my course on national security decision making. I expect my students’ written work to be compelling, accurate, and unbiased. By those standards, I would have to give him an F. Let’s hope his constituents do the same in November.

Enjoyed watching #Eclipse2017 . A great reminder that all darkness is temporary.

As an immigrant and refugee, I am offended by the travel ban's cruelty. As a grandmother, I am insulted by its ignorance. #NoMuslimBanEver

Beware of wishful thinking. 80 years ago today the Munich Agreement was signed. British leaders thought they could appease Hitler and thereby guarantee peace in their time. They believed what they wanted to believe, but they were wrong and the consequences were devastating.
