In my new book #HellandOtherDestinations  I write about my post-government “afterlife”- telling personal stories while sharing what I think of the current void in world leadership.

#HellandOtherDestinations  comes out April 14. I hope to see you in person at one of my book tour events. Thank you to the venues and the book stores who are hosting me, and I look forward to speaking with all of you.

27 years ago I signed the UN Convention on #Biodiversity  on behalf of the US. Today I join 22 of my former foreign minister colleagues to support a goal of protecting at least 30% of the planet, including the ocean, by 2030. #30x30  @AspenHighSeas

It’s almost 25 years since the Beijing Women’s conference. Since then, we’ve made enough progress not to feel despondent & had enough setbacks not to be complacent. So on #InternationalWomensDay , let’s pledge to work until equality is achieved & all glass ceilings shattered.

@JoeBiden  has the energy, experience and moral courage that our nation deserves and the future demands. He will be ready on Day One to lead as commander in chief. Thats why @BarackObama  chose him as VPOTUS and why I am proud to support his campaign

The coronavirus crisis means that I won’t be traveling next month to speak to audiences about my new book, Hell and Other Destinations. I must admit, the title feels more appropriate with each day that goes by.

Instead of a book tour, I’ll be staying home and practicing social distancing — as we all should be. But that doesn’t mean I’ll be shutting up or shutting down. So stay tuned for more details on virtual book events.

In the meantime, read my new piece on what the coronavirus is telling us about the reality of today’s threats and the need for international teamwork. The pandemic should be a shared challenge, not a competition.

Social distancing doesn’t mean we have to be anti-social. I was honored to join @AmbDMitchell  in leading a call with more than 400 dedicated @NDI  team members still working hard across the globe. Their efforts to help democracies deliver are needed now more than ever.

Healthcare workers are on the front lines of the fight against #COVID19 . Cyberattacks that jeopardize their mission, such as the recent attacks against the @WHO , are unacceptable and must be stopped.

To be clear, immigrants, legal or not, are people who want to improve their lives. To refer to them as animals or insects is to foster hate. What’s happening in Washington and on our border is sad, wrong, and unamerican.

The only thing more stunning than the scale of Russian interference uncovered today is the fact that an American President is taking no action to protect our country against an ongoing threat. This is a dereliction of duty.

I was raised Catholic, became Episcopalian & found out later my family was Jewish. I stand ready to register as Muslim in #solidarity .

There is no fine print on the Statue of Liberty. America must remain open to people of all faiths & backgrounds. #RefugeesWelcome

It’s a good thing Devin Nunes is not taking my course on national security decision making. I expect my students’ written work to be compelling, accurate, and unbiased. By those standards, I would have to give him an F. Let’s hope his constituents do the same in November.

Enjoyed watching #Eclipse2017 . A great reminder that all darkness is temporary.

As an immigrant and refugee, I am offended by the travel ban's cruelty. As a grandmother, I am insulted by its ignorance. #NoMuslimBanEver
