"This will be the biggest national security threat you face in your presidency.” - Robert O’Brien to Trump on 1/28/20 Four weeks later — “This is something that is a low risk.” - Robert O’Brien to @margbrennan

Something appears to have delayed the White House press briefing

“Hello everyone. Today the President was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize ... a well-deserved honor” And so begins @PressSec’s briefing

This is important. Fauci, in fact, had been advocating for a China travel ban for days BEFORE the president imposed the ban. The president has repeated said Fauci was against the ban. That is simply not true.

The report says the far-left been responsible for less violence than the far-right, but "the spread of dehumanizing rhetoric on the left could set the stage for more serious incidents by what the report called 'network-enabled mobs.'”

Trump: "When Churchill was on the top of a building, and he said everything’s going to be good, everything’s going to be – be calm...And he says everyone's going to be safe. I don't think that's being necessarily honest, and yet I think it's being a great leader."

Churchill: "We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I can say: It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might ..."

If @LindseyGrahamSC  is a man of his word, I don't see how votes on a SCOTUS nominee until after the election: "If an opening comes in the last year of President Trump's term...we'll wait to the next election" He said, "Hold the tape" and @cspan  did.

@LindseyGrahamSC  is crystal clear here: "If there’s a Republican president in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said let’s let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination"

Cold rain, snow and lots of Trump supporters. Despite the miserable weather, there are already more people lining up outside the venue of @realDonaldTrump  ‘s rally tonight than you see at most of the events for the Democratic candidates. Some have been out here all night

ABC EXCLUSIVE: The DHS intelligence bulletin warning about foreign interference in the 2020 election was supposed to go out on July 9 but was blocked by Chad Wolf's chief of staff. This story is especially significant after the DNI's suspension of in-person briefings to Congress

This is a flagrant violation of CDC guidelines on social distancing and a move that puts reporters at risk for the purpose of turning the press corps into a prop for a so-called "press conference" where the president refuses to answer a single question.

It’s a sight I never before imagined: the South Lawn of the White House transformed into the stage of a political convention.

No sitting Secretary of State has ever spoken at a political convention. And none of the six previous Secretaries even attended a convention while in office. Republican and Democrat, they all believed America's top diplomat should stay out of overt partisan politics.

In the Oval Office just now I asked if he had any thoughts on the legacy on John McCain. He heard me but did not answer.

SCOOP: ABC News has learned Geoffrey Berman, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, is recused from the Michael Cohen investigation. He had no role in raid of Cohen's office. Another recusal that will make unhappy.

After President Trump urges Erdogan to call on “a friendly reporter from Turkey”, Lindsey Graham turns to me and says, “There aren’t any others left.”
