Putin made two big strategic mistakes when he invaded Ukraine: •He underestimated UA courage, & •He underestimated NATO’s unity He must not win, because autocrats cannot achieve what they want through brute force. NATO will stand #UnitedWithUkraine  for as long as it takes.

At the first #DefMin  in 2023 Defense Ministers of all NATO Allies meet to discuss Ukraine’s self-defense, and implementation of the #StrategicConcept  in the run up to NATO Summit in Vilnius. #WeAreNATO

Russia is losing on the battlefield and in desperation has unleashed unconscionable bombardments hitting critical infrastructure to exact the heaviest toll on civilians. At the same time, Russia is suffering self-inflicted strategic setbacks on the global stage.

Putin thought NATO would fracture. Instead, NATO is more united than ever before. And our troops are increasing interoperability. Like this USAir Force F-16 Fighting Falcon flying alongside a DEEurofighter Typhoon. #WeAreNATO

NATO is integrating gender perspectives throughout its political & military structures and across its core tasks: deterrence & defense, crisis prevention, and cooperative security. USNATO has an amazing team of women working towards 1 goal: keeping 1 billion NATO citizens safe.

President Biden@POTUS  comes to @NATO  HQ next week to participate in an extraordinary meeting of the leaders of all #NATO  Allies. #WeAreNATO

The best path for real diplomacy is to sustain our support to Ukraine and tilt the battlefield in its favor so it has the strongest negotiating position. Short of Russia ending its aggression, that is the only path to a peace that is both just & durable.

President Trump has landed in Brussels! We look forward to welcoming him for #NATOMeeting  tomorrow! #POTUSAbroad

75 years ago, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy prepared to root out evil in defense of freedom, liberty, & justice. Their courage & sacrifice remind us all that standing together we are much stronger & can defeat any adversary. #DDAY75  #HonorThem
