The amplification of what's Twitter Important into what's actually important by our media is a self-fulfilling prophesy. Suddenly the signaling of tweeters becomes a trend story. That’s what happened this week with Goya. My @FourthWatch  newsletter:

NBC's viewers were left with two alarming, false, impressions - that a 42-year-old "virus hunter" caught COVID-19 through his eyes and that he had it despite at least 5 "false negative” tests. The strange, anti-science saga of Dr. Fair, in @FourthWatch :

@FourthWatch  The case of the NBC doctor who didn’t actually have COVID was first reported in my @FourthWatch  newsletter last night - you may have seen it in @FreeBeacon , @FDRLST  or @DailyCaller . Get the info first, directly to your inbox, by subscribing - free - here:

@FourthWatch  Trump should have been wearing a mask long before yesterday. So the media that critiques him is right on about it. But…why the need for overreach? Because it only illuminates more media hypocrisy about COVID-19. From @FourthWatch :

The Goya boycott is a hill of beans. What happens on Twitter doesn’t need to stay on Twitter. But problems arise when a niche signaling opportunity is presented and amplified by the most powerful media forces in America. My @FourthWatch  newsletter:

The arrogance, the dismissiveness, the smug cackling, the accents. If Donald Trump wins re-election this year, I’ll remember this brief CNN segment late one Saturday night in January as the perfect encapsulation for why it happened.

The guy leading the Media Matters campaign against Tucker Carlson wrote blog posts describing “bags of Jewish gold,” called Japanese people “Japs,” praised KKK leader Robert Byrd and denigrated trans people...all around the time of Tucker’s radio comments:

We know the media leans left - this is beyond politics. I’m not sure anything will erode the public’s trust more than the last 10 days. To go from canvassing beaches to shame a few people for not social distancing to covering thousands with no mention of coronavirus is stunning.

Truly an embarrassment, on multiple levels. Jim Acosta’s self-serving antics give all good journalists a bad name.

Based on the media coverage of COVID-19 this weekend, which state do you think recorded the most coronavirus deaths yesterday? Texas? Florida? California? Arizona? No… it was New York. Again. I wrote more about the Acela Media’s bias in @FourthWatch :

This has been wall-to-wall on CNN today - non-stop, fear-mongering, COVID-shaming of people in outdoor public spaces... and not even backed up by most of the actual footage being aired. Absolutely ridiculous.

The lead story on CNN right now claims “protests are erupting” and cites Maryland’s protests specifically throughout the beginning of the article. Gov. Hogan’s staff says there were more media requests to cover the protests than actual protesters.

Incredible CNN segment. Reporter says how peaceful it is in CHAZ. One of the protesters crashes the shot and tries to organize people to interrupt the report. Reporter then says “no doubt some of these protesters are armed” (contradicting CNN's report):
