Imagine if Republicans cared more about getting weapons of war off our streets than they do about a nationwide ban on abortion. We should be acting to end gun violence—not restricting basic rights.

Women should have the power to decide what happens to their bodies. Not Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio.

NEWS: The Senate just ratified the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol—affirming America’s commitment to phase out hydrofluorocarbons that contribute to our climate crisis. This would create jobs, protect businesses and strengthen U.S. competitiveness. Proud to vote YES.

As the Director of @IllinoisUnidos  , Alejandra L. Ibañez is a fierce advocate for the Hispanic community. Grateful for her work to ensure all Illinoisans have the support they need to thrive during this pandemic and beyond. #HispanicHeritageMonth

A vote against the DISCLOSE Act is a vote against transparency in our elections. It's a vote against protecting our democracy from dark money. It’s a vote to help special interests drown out the voices of people like you. Republicans’ filibuster speaks louder than words.

Today, I met with both doctors and survivors of the Highland Park Massacre and, once again, I heard the same call—the same plea—I’ve heard from so many other constituents and survivors of mass shootings: we need to get weapons of war off our streets. I'm with them.

On #BiVisibilityDay  and every other day of the year, every American deserves to show up as they are and live their life free of judgement, discrimination and fear. As we continue our work toward true equality, remember: You are seen. You are loved. No matter what.💖💜💙

On this Gold Star Mother’s Day, let us take a moment to honor all the mothers who have lost a child in service to our nation. We can't ever fully repay them nor understand their grief, but we must never stop working to ensure they receive the recognition that they deserve.

70% of Americans believe Roe v. Wade should remain the law of the land. Retweet if you're one of them.

Retweet if you believe we need a nationwide ban on assault weapons.

Does @TuckerCarlson  want to walk a mile in my legs and then tell me whether or not I love America?

Retweet if you believe Election Day should be a federal holiday.

I carried an M16 and M4 in the military, so let me be clear: High-powered rifles designed for our troops to engage an enemy with accurate, lethal fire at a velocity of 3,000 feet per second have no place on our streets. I fully support an assault weapons ban.

I refuse to force any woman to have to live her life fearful that Lindsey Graham effectively has more control over her medical decisions than she or her doctors.

Twenty. Six. Days. 26 days have passed & the Commander in Chief *still* hasn't publicly condemned Putin for reportedly putting bounties on our troops or done anything publicly to protect our servicemembers abroad. We need an open hearing on #BountyGate .
