GOOD NEWS: Through my efforts to expose harmful items in the Democrats’ reckless tax-and-spending spree, I was able to help successfully remove several provisions that would have been detrimental to West Virginia families and businesses.

I also led efforts to prevent Democrats from imposing harmful taxes on companies holding spectrum that would have negatively impacted broadband deployment and expansion. This was something I highlighted in a recent @SenateCommerce  hearing:

Check out @WVTourism ’s list of 155 ways to enjoy the summer in the Mountain State! 🏞

Unfortunately, far too many disastrous provisions that raise taxes on working families, cripple the fossil fuel industry, and empower the IRS to attack small business remained in the final bill that I voted against.

Inflation remains at record highs as the economy remains a top concern for West Virginians.

🚨 #CapitoConnect  Update: I recently introduced the GRID Broadband Act, which would utilize our nation’s electric grid system to help build out and deploy broadband.

Best view in the house watching @realDonaldTrump  sign #PhaseOne  of the U.S.-China Deal! This is great news, especially for West Virginia’s hardwood and met coal industries. I’ve been working for months with @USTradeRep  to make sure those industries were included.

Had a constructive & substantive call w/ @POTUS  about infrastructure. We both expressed our mutual desire to work together & deliver results for the American people. I stand ready to be a partner in advancing bipartisan infrastructure legislation—just as we’ve done in the past.

Just wanted to give an update on where we are with the #impeachment  trial this week:

Just voted to advance Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination. Read more about why I plan on voting to confirm him to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court:

Productive conversation w/ today about increasing the Child Tax Credit & how this would help working families in . #WV

@POTUS ' decision to withdraw the U.S. from the #ParisAgreement  is the right decision for the economy & #WV .

WATCH: Here’s what to expect the next couple days in the impeachment trial:

President Biden said that the surge on our southern border was “seasonal,” yet we continue to see record illegal immigration. He said that inflation was “transitory,” yet we hit a 40yr high on Friday. More out-of-touch messaging from the Biden White House.
