PDS Tornado Watch # 199 is coming for Oklahoma. This is only the second watch in SPC history where every category of watch probabilities (torn, wind, hail) are at greater than 95%. The only other watch like this was issued for Alabama on 27 April 2011.
A severe outbreak is likely today & tonight. Strong tornadoes are most probable during the day from NE LA across MS & AL. This evening, severe storms w/ damaging winds, hail & tornadoes are expected across AR/W TN/W KY by early tonight continuing across GA, into W NC/SC overnight
An outbreak of severe storms appears likely Sunday into Sunday night, with the greatest threat expected from Louisiana through much of the Southeast and Tennessee Valley. Tornadoes (including some that are strong and long-tracked) and widespread damaging winds will be possible.
A PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado watch has been issued for NE LA, SE AR, and NC MS through 8PM CDT. Several strong tornadoes are likely in addition to widespread damaging winds and hail. Be sure you have a way to receive severe weather warnings this aft/eve.
