The moderate risk has been expanded to include a large portion of western, northern, and northeastern Oklahoma. The primary hazard will be damaging wind gusts (up to 110 mph) and embedded tornadoes (strong tornado potential centered around southwest Oklahoma)

Today (12/15) has set the record for the most number of hurricane force (75+ mph) thunderstorm wind gusts in a day (55, and counting) since 2004. The previous record was from August 10, 2020 with 53.

A multi-day episode of significant severe thunderstorms is expected beginning Monday (3/21) across central/eastern TX and Tuesday (3/22) across the Lower MS Valley/Central Gulf Coast. Strong tornadoes (EF-2+), very large hail and damaging wind gusts are all possible.

2/28 1:35 PM CST: We're keeping a close eye on the potential for a regional severe thunderstorm outbreak on Thursday (March 2nd) across parts of the southern Plains into the ArkLaTex/ArkLaMiss regions, with strong tornadoes, numerous damaging winds, and large hail all possible.
