Warm temperatures and less wind are expected over the lower elevations for the next few days. There will be isolated late day thunderstorms starting Monday. #cowx

⚡️Thunderstorm season is finally here! Today: Isolated to scattered showers & storms - main threat is strong, gusty outlfow winds to ~50 mph. Tuesday: More instability and thus a couple severe storms possible with wind gusts to 60 mph and hail ~1" in diameter. #COwx

Morning! Warmer today with highs well into the 80's for the lower elevations. A few thunderstorms likely for eastern plains this afternoon/evening, with elevated showers elsewhere (little to no precipitation). Gusty outflow winds will be possible with showers/t-storms. #COwx

For another perspective on the rarity of this event, @NWSSPC  has placed most of our forecast area in a Day 2 Extremely Critical risk. Since 2010, this has only happened 1 other time in the Denver metro and a few times further south. PLEASE avoid ANY sparks tomorrow! #COwx  #COFire 

Those near the #marshallfire , please have a ToGo Kit ready with all your important documents, medications, etc. Anything you need. Follow these tips should an evacuation order be issued for your location. #COwx

It's not often we see "Extreme" fire weather conditions, but Friday will be one of those days! Avoid any and all outdoor activities that may produce a spark. "Let's all do our part - don't let it start!" #COwx

Updated storm total snow map! 15-25" expected across urban corridor with up to 30" in Boulder and Fort Collins. 2 to 4 feet of snow in the foothills. Lower amounts west of Continental Divide and east of DIA. #COwx
