On this day in @NASAhistory , the Descartes highlands region of the Moon was chosen as the landing site for Apollo 16. The @NASA_Astronauts  prepared by test-driving GROVER the rover, going on field trips, and more.

Look up Houston! 🛰️ The @Space_Station  will fly overhead TONIGHT starting at 8:27 p.m. Central and can be visible for about 3 minutes. Check out for more station sightings worldwide.

🚀 Launch update! NASA's SpaceX#Crew4  mission is now launching no earlier than April 20 at 6:37 a.m. ET. The four astronauts are set to arrive at the @Space_Station  the next day.

51 years ago today: Apollo 11 splashdown, a safe return from the Moon. 45 years ago today: Apollo-Soyuz Test Project splashdown, the last Apollo flight. August 2, 2020: Crew Dragon Endeavour splashdown, the first crewed water landing in 45 years. History in the making.

This April is a big month in @Space_Station  history! For the first time, @NASA_Astronauts  are scheduled to launch or land each week in four different spacecraft. 4/9 – Exp. 65 launch 4/17 – Exp. 64 landing 4/22 – Crew-2 launch 4/28 – Crew-1 splashdown

As we look forward to the future, we reflect and remember those who secured it for us by making the ultimate sacrifice. #MemorialDay
