Hard to find the words to capture these days. America's supposed to be America: not always succeeding, but at least striving to live up to the ideals citizens of all races died to protect. No citizen should EVER fear for their life because of the color of their skin or the (1/2)

He'll protect monuments to dead confederate traitors, while at the same time dismantling living ocean monuments which preserve our nation's treasured places. Who and what you fight for says a lot about your values.

Brent Scowcroft was a giant - a principled person who had no use for partisanship. Classy, brilliant, and brave. His judgement was impeccable, his insights incomparable, and his imprints indelible. Thinking of his entire family today.

The investigation will flush more rats from the sewers (Rudy!) - but don't get lost in the weeds of quid pro quo: the president abused his power to bully an ally into becoming his campaign's opposition research arm. If it wasn't already a constitutional crisis, it is now.
