“So yeah, not very happy about it. And the bottom line is, is we cannot allow that to happen. This is a case of where our allies and our adversaries should understand that we're not putting up with this,” @SenatorRounds  told me.

“This is a very serious international action and it has to be dealt with accordingly. This is not a case of where you say, ‘don't do it again.’ Where you hurt our feelings, but that's the case of where you took out an asset that we had,” @SenatorRounds  said in disgust.

“I fully expect that there will be a stronger letter to follow this very nice comment…because we sure wouldn't want to hurt anybody's feelings other than to tell them that they've done something, environmentally inappropriate,” @SenatorRounds  said referring to DOD statement.

“I think we're probably going to have to have a little bit stronger discussion about how serious this is. You do not take out our aircraft. That is something that is absolutely a violation of international norms, if nothing else, and in this particular case, more has to come.”
