Aussie shares are trading flat with the #ASX200  -1.2pts or just 0.02% lower to 7492. IT is the best performing sector currently while the materials sector is weighing

After roughly 3 hours of trade, the #ASX200  is flat (7491pts). Tech stocks are standing out, lifting ~2%. $RMD, $FMG, insurance stocks, $WES & supermarket chains are holding the market back most.

[REPORT] Evening: The Australian sharemarket has had a messy start to the week, with the #ASX200  closing 12.1pts or 0.16 per cent lower to 7481.7

The Aussie market finished lower on Monday, with the #ASX200  down 12pts or 0.16% to 7481.6. Tech stocks rose most, consumer staples fell most. The Fed, Bank of England & ECB are all set to raise rates Wed/Thu.

The Reserve Bank (RBA) has raised the cash rate by 25bps to 0.35%

The RBA raised the official cash rate by 0.5% at its June meeting. This is the biggest lift in 22 years and the first back-to-back increase since 2010.
