BREAKING: Lexington Police say they arrested 21-year-old Joseph M. Gonzalez Friday afternoon in connection with the shooting death of 35-year-old Crystal Howard.

The Kentucky House Friday passed a bill that would revamp public assistance programs. The measure aims to shift more people off public assistance and into the workforce. Democratic lawmakers objected to portions they see as punitive against the poor.
