Our dearest Lori Houlihan has left us. The most inspirational person at UCL who helped it become the challenge oriented university we are so proud of. And taught us the joy of living. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Even from a practical point of view, if the UCL & UEL (& UECL) are presumably to continue, how does one extract five different teams each year from that system to play in the Super League? That alone is a huge governance challenge but relatively minor compared to others
Rebel clubs insist it's not a break away. They just want to organize their own Euro comp instead of UCL while still playing in domestic leagues. Thing is, if that means they 2x or 3x their Euro revenue, it creates an even greater domestic imbalance in already unbalanced leagues
