Forty-six people have been found dead after being abandoned in a tractor-trailer on a remote back road in Texas. Fire Chief Charles Hood says those taken to hospitals were hot to the touch and dehydrated, and no water was found in the trailer.

Dozens of suspected migrants were found dead inside a tractor trailer in southern Texas on Monday night, according to San Antonio police and fire officials.

California legislators on Monday approved Texas-style lawsuits over illegal guns, mimicking the Lone Star State's law aimed at deterring abortions and obliquely linking the two most controversial U.S. Supreme Court decisions from last week.
