On July 19, Ben & Jerry's announced it would be halting sales of its ice cream in palestinian territory'>Occupied Palestinian Territory, though it would continue in Israel. Now, a NJ law requiring the state to divest from companies boycotting Israel could cause problems.
Israeli Olympic team members killed by Palestinian gunmen at the 1972 Munich Olympics were remembered during the #OpeningCeremony with a moment of silence, the first time in 49 years this has happened 📷 @markodjurica #Tokyo2020

Meltdown in Israel over Ben & Jerry’s decision to stop selling ice cream in Palestinian territories
I saw a lot more instances of entirely unnecessary, provocative behavior by Israeli police/military today. At Damascus Gate (stun grenades thrown at peaceful Palestinian group), in Sheikh Jarrah (skunk water fired on Palestinian homes) & Bethlehem (volleys of tear gas)
A Palestinian child should be sitting in a classroom, not in rubble. World leaders must act immediately to protect the human rights of Palestinians.
I stand with the Palestinian people. My heart aches for the families who have lost loved ones. We can not stand as silent witnesses to children being orphaned and murdered and not demand for the human rights of all Palestinians! This must end. Free Palestine.
If the United States is going to be a credible voice on human rights on the global stage, we must uphold international standards of human rights consistently. We must recognize that Palestinian rights matter. Palestinian lives matter.
The Israeli people have the right to live in peace and security. So do the Palestinian people. I remain concerned about the platform AIPAC provides for leaders who express bigotry and oppose basic Palestinian rights. For that reason I will not attend their conference. 1/2
