The Jif peanut butter recall has rapidly expanded in the past week and it now affects at least 69 other products. The cascading effect is due to the many companies who use the peanut butter in their own chocolates, peanut butter sandwiches and more.

The J.M. Smucker Company has recalled several Jif peanut butter products sold in the U.S. and Canada because of potential salmonella contamination that federal regulators said has been tied to 14 illnesses.

Jif’s creamy, crunchy, natural and reduced fat peanut butters have been linked to a salmonella outbreak across 12 states. Jars with lot codes 1274425 through 2140425 have been recalled and should be disposed, the company said.
