The FDA, along with CDC and state and local partners, are investigating a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Senftenberg infections linked to certain Jif peanut butter products produced at the J.M. Smucker Company facility in Lexington, Kentucky.

The J.M. Smucker Company has recalled several Jif peanut butter products sold in the U.S. and Canada because of potential salmonella contamination that federal regulators said has been tied to 14 illnesses.
Jif’s creamy, crunchy, natural and reduced fat peanut butters have been linked to a salmonella outbreak across 12 states. Jars with lot codes 1274425 through 2140425 have been recalled and should be disposed, the company said.
