Dreamers have contributed so much to our country, and they are risking their lives fighting on the frontlines of this pandemic. They deserve permanent immigration status and a pathway to citizenship—as they are Americans in every way but on paper.
...and now to stand up for those ideals, we have to move forward and elect @JoeBiden and a Democratic Congress that does its job, protects DREAMers, and finally creates a system that’s truly worthy of this nation of immigrants once and for all.
#BREAKING : The Supreme Court has ruled against the Trump administration and extended a lifeline to the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, allowing the program that has permitted about 650,000 "Dreamers" to stay and work in the U.S. legally to continue.
My message to Dreamers: We see you. We stand with you. We will fight to ensure you can stay in the country you call home.
