"I like to think of our show as the home for the creators and dreamers of Canada. And it has been a privilege and honour to introduce those innovators to all of you," says @amanda_parris  as the final season of CBC Arts: Exhibitionists premieres.

President Donald Trump dodged a town hall question about the roughly 700,000 young illegal migrants protected by the 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty, saying, “We’re going to take care of Dreamers.”

He says DACA is different from Dreamers in the way you might if you were noting some nuance because you are really deep in the details. But of course, well, it's not like that. And in fact they're the same thing.

Mr. President, please explain how DACA is different from Dreamers.

@CamilleElemia  @realDonaldTrumpT  @GOPr  @TeamTrumpu  @AFPmp  claims DACA and Dreamers are somewhat different DACA recipients are called Dreamers, literally the same. DACA is not the same as the DREAM Act, a bill seeking to allow conditional residency and work permits to immigrants who came to the US as children. | via @CamilleElemia

A recent study shows the employment rate among DREAMers dropped nearly 30% since the start of the pandemic. About 70% of those students reported feeling much more anxious about their legal status since the start of the COVID-19 crisis.

Dreamers have contributed so much to our country, and they are risking their lives fighting on the frontlines of this pandemic. They deserve permanent immigration status and a pathway to citizenship—as they are Americans in every way but on paper.

...and now to stand up for those ideals, we have to move forward and elect @JoeBiden  and a Democratic Congress that does its job, protects DREAMers, and finally creates a system that’s truly worthy of this nation of immigrants once and for all.

#BREAKING : The Supreme Court has ruled against the Trump administration and extended a lifeline to the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, allowing the program that has permitted about 650,000 "Dreamers" to stay and work in the U.S. legally to continue.

Quit calling human beings "illegal aliens". They're people. They're our friends, neighbors and co-workers. They're dreamers & lovers

250 of my Apple coworkers are #Dreamers . I stand with them. They deserve our respect as equals and a solution rooted in American values.

Trump’s decision to end DACA was one of the ugliest and cruelest decisions ever made by a president in modern history. He lost. Congratulations to DREAMers and all who fought to make this enormous victory possible. The fight for justice continues!

My message to Dreamers: We see you. We stand with you. We will fight to ensure you can stay in the country you call home.

Mr. President, I see you’ve had a busy morning of “Executive Time.” Instead of tweeting false smears, the American people would appreciate it if you turned off the TV and helped solve the funding crisis, protected Dreamers or...really anything else.

Dreamers paid $11.64 billion in taxes in 2016. What about the president?
