A month after 8 miners were trapped by floodwaters in a Canadian-owned mine in Burkina Faso, divers have reached the edge of a refuge chamber 580 metres underground where they may have sought shelter -- but it's still unclear if the miners are there.

It’s been a month since eight workers at Burkina Faso's Perkoa mine were trapped more than 700 metres underground following a flood. Efforts are still being made to rescue the men, but as time passes hope is diminishing. More here:
