Trump administration ignored pandemic warning from White House economists: report
"Seeing is believing," says Sen. Chuck Schumer, reacting to President Trump's support of a $2 trillion infrastructure package to jumpstart the economy. "We once asked him for that amount, Speaker Pelosi and I in the White House and he sort of got up and walked out."
Sen. Chuck Schumer is calling on President Trump to appoint a military general, a "czar," to be in charge of medical supply production and distribution. He says Peter Navarro, the White House official who will lead Defense Production Act efforts, "is not up to the job."
This all comes back to President Donald J. Trump. He is the one who prevented the White House meeting. He is the one who withheld the military assistance. He is the one who asked Ukraine's President to investigate his opponent. He is the one who violated his oath.
