Check the double standards. Murdoch’s #CourierFail  dedicates 3 pages attacking Palaszczuk fmr Chief of Staff, burying the fact the CCC exonerated him. But not a word about Murdoch scoring $17.5 million from Morrison for Foxtel without tender.

$17.5m in taxpayer-funded 'no-tender' grants for Foxtel fast-tracked through Cabinet

$10 million Foxtel handout came from COVID recovery funds - The New Daily

The Murdoch media, as usual, is full of crap. Murdoch campaigned to kill the NBN in 2013 with his coalition partner, Malcolm Turnbull, because it was a commercial threat to Foxtel. And then Turnbull killed the NBN (fibre to the premises) as instructed. That's why the NBN failed.

In 2016, the government invented the fig leaf of "covering women's sport" to donate $30 million to Murdoch's Foxtel. Now it's more like a fig twig for another $10 million gift for this failing private business

It's time for a Royal Commission into abuse of near monopoly by Murdoch media in Australian politics & policy. Including Murdoch & Abbott killing the NBN (FTTP) to protect Murdoch's commercial interest in Foxtel from real competition from Netflix & others.

Meaningless Morrison condolences today re Murdoch and Nine pulling the plug on AAP. Government gave Foxtel $30 million for, er, niceness. A government that cared about the country and had a little vision could pay the ABC to take over the newswire. No chance of that.

Communications Minister Mitch Fifield. Cufflinks. From Foxtel. A week after media reform. Really?

Thanks heavens Mitch Fifield tossed Foxtel a lazy $30 million and cut the free-to-air licence fees or they'd barely be able to scrape together a billion for the poor old

$30m gift for Foxtel here, $40m for internal Liberal politics there - spare me any govt member ever talking about fiscal responsibility.
