To mark Her Majesty’s official arrival at Balmoral Castle, The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, received a Guard of Honour from Balaklava Company@5SCOTS .

Recently we showed you the progress of Balaklava Company, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland as they prepared to undertake Ceremonial Duties as the Queens Guard. They have now concluded their time however, see what they got up to when on Guard at Windsor Castle.

Soldiers from Balaklava Company, 5th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland have passed the "Fit for Role" inspection with flying colours, prior to taking on the role of Queens Guard on 22 April 2019. They will dismount their final guard on 7 May 2019.

Balaklava Company, the 5th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, were on duty this weekend and they have now handed over duties to The Welsh Guards.

The ceremony marks a new Regiment taking up the duty of guarding the palace as the previous one ends its duty. The Queen is Colonel-in-Chief of and Royal Colonel of Balaklava Company.
