My first intervention in the Citizenship Amendment Bill debate in the Lok Sabha yesterday opposed the introduction of the bill on the grounds that Parliament has no legislative competence to violate the Constitution :

It is against India's history & tradition to turn any asylum seeker away because of his religion or region, but BJP has never understood India's culture or values, it has only tried to change it. #CountryAgainstBJP
