Today’s unemployment numbers show the dramatic impact #COVID19  has already had on working people and families.

Yesterday, @GovMLG  updated guidance for New Mexicans and is encouraging all individuals to wear face masks or coverings when going out in public. This is another important step we can all take to protect our health and flatten the curve.

Still, the best way to protect yourself is to #StayHome  - only leaving home for essential reasons like getting food and medications and donning a mask or covering when you do.

Small businesses are the lifeblood of New Mexico and have been hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak.

I have worked to secure critical funding and resources to support our communities in the congressional relief packages and remain dedicated to ensuring economic security & relief for small businesses across our state.

If you’re a small business owner, there is support to help you through this time. Find more information about: SBA Disaster Loan ➡️: . For recommendations in both English and Spanish, go here (bottom of page):

During times like these, we have to come together to support each other – even over video chat! I was happy to help Zoey, one of my younger constituents, on her social studies project. I’m glad she’s taking steps to #FlattenTheCurve , and I can’t wait to see her finished project!

Wishing a happy and blessed Palm Sunday to all celebrating. While we may be apart this Holy Week, I am wishing peace and health to all as we work to overcome this crisis together.

It’s simple: Abusing the office of the presidency for your own personal gain is lawlessness. @realDonaldTrump  has admitted his corruption, and now the House is forced to act to protect this country and our democracy.

The Trump presidency is creating grave national security concerns, including ignoring warnings that our Democracy is being targeted, and seemingly and actively encouraging Russian interference.

I support moving forward with an impeachment inquiry, which will continue to uncover the facts for the American people and hold this president accountable. This is not a position I’ve reached lightly.

Today, I joined 64 of my colleagues calling for the resignation or firing of Scott Pruitt. His unethical behavior, wasteful use of taxpayer money, and efforts to undermine the EPA’s mission to protect our environment and public health demand a response: he must go. #BootPruitt

President Trump does NOT have legal authority to block grant Medicaid. This latest attack on our health care will only result in lower quality of care. #ProtectOurCare

Threatening to send children to foster care because of unpaid lunch debt at school is an abuse of power. Earlier this year, I introduced the Anti-Lunch Shaming Act w/ @IlhanMN  to stop the abhorrent practice of lunch shaming against kids & their families.

We are all deeply shocked. We are all appalled. That the @UNHumanRights  High Commissioner felt compelled to speak out on the conditions refugees and children are being kept in at the border, is a deep, deep shame for our country.
