Bottom line: Morrison is looking for his political alibi for the unfolding national economic wreckage, and he’s trying to line up @DanielAndrewsMP  as the fall guy — all while pretending he’s not doing anything of the sort. Vintage #ScottyFromMarketing

It’s a no-brainer the new station would be better placed at Boggo Road because it’s the nexus of three railway lines. Any cheaper alternative would only connect two lines. Folks would be expected to hike backwards between stations to change trains in summer heat or heavy rain.

Why would you spend taxpayers’ money to upgrade the state’s rail network, then make it too difficult for those taxpayers to actually use? The Murdoch-LNP plan would see people just give up, clogging the roads of the Bayside and Southside with cars. It defeats the point.

The cabinet committee’s decision has been judged cost-neutral and on-track to be delivered within budget. @CrossRiverRail  infrastructure expenditure is also helping keep Queenslanders employed during the Covid-19 recession, pumping $4m into the state economy each day.

The LNP and Murdoch have never understood @CrossRiverRail  . This is about fixing major transport bottlenecks and reducing traffic, not a couple of new stations as a band-aid solution. This project will allow more trains and ease congestion throughout SEQ.

Also, why does the #CourierFail  make such a big deal about the approved station being in @jackietrad  ’s electorate? The alternative — the station not being built, which the Courier thinks should be built — would also be in her seat! For God’s sake!

LNP leader @DebFrecklington  is shameless. She’s crying crocodile tears over a hypothetical train station that her party never actually wanted built anyway.

The numbers don't lie. Morrison and the Murdoch Party finally and formally admit their entire, decade-long "debt and deficit" campaign against our government was a lie from beginning to end. #MorrisonsGiantDebtCon

Murdoch is a cancer on our democracy. The BBC has done a three-part series on his abuse of media power, but no Australian TV outlet has the guts to broadcast it? Have we become a nation silenced by fear?

Classic study of Murdoch method: For Victoria, Andrews is blamed personally on front page for officials mistakes. For Ruby Princess, no headline re Gladys or Dutton. Delegitimise Labor leaders; but a protection racket for Libs.

Morrison claimed today this is the first time defence reserves have been deployed to respond to bushfires, and that federal governments haven’t previously taken a lead role in bushfire emergencies. The history of Black Saturday 2009 shows this is simply not true @David_Speers

Dutton was an MP for 7 years and was 38 when he boycotted the apology to first Australians. A grown man, experienced politician who knew what he was doing - sending a dog-whistle to racist sentiment. A question of character. For this reason alone, he should never be Prime Minister

The Murdoch method: Morrison's failure to prepare the aged care sector is a failure by anonymous federal bureaucrats. Meanwhile, in Victoria, all the blame is attributed to @DanielAndrewsMP  personally. Murdoch and his editors operate one giant protection racket for the Liberals.
