The 7-day rolling average of daily #COVID19  cases in BC dropped again today, for the 10th time in 12 days. Positivity rate lowest since Nov. 11. Suggests public health order is having a positive impact, but still not enough for it be lifted. #bcpoli

BREAKING# Record 28 #COVID19  deaths reported in BC.

Good Clarification! But I think on an apples to apples comparison we have to use year to year stats!

#BREAKING First case of varient #COVID19  virus in BC has been discovered on Vancouver Island. Canadian traveller who had returned from UK before ban in place.

Two months ago, less than 5% of the active #COVID19  cases in BC were in the Interior and North. Today they total 36%. Fraser/Vancouver once accounted for 93.5%, and today they are less than 60%. #bcpoli

On @GlobalBC  at Noon: BC restaurants/bars will be restricted to take-out, delivery and open patio service until Apr. 19. No in-person dining. Several other measures to be unveiled at 1 pm briefing by Dr. Henry and Health Minister @adriandix  . #COVID19  #bcpoli

#BREAKING A record 1293 #COVID19  cases reported in BC today. #bcpoli

This is a devastating story that needs to be seen by as many people as possible. Next time you think about gathering in someone’s home or attending a large beach party, remember this tragedy. #COVID19

The minimum first dose vaccination rate of 70% for 18+ population that underpins BC's "restart" plan has already been achieved. We are at 70.4%. #COVID19

No #COVID19  deaths, lowest case count since Oct. 20, positivity rate below 5%, more than 70% of adults with a vaccine....nice way to start June!

Meanwhile, another 245 cases of COVID19 were reported today in Washington State. The daily -- yes, daily -- reminder of why the border must remain closed for now. #COVID19

Today's briefing by Dr. Bonnie Henry was the bleakest since......April. My takeaways: the curve is going up, not bending. Have to be extra cautious. Younger people in particular must do better at physical distancing. More, tighter measures may be coming in some sectors. #COVID19

Close to 1000 people are self-isolating as a result of that #COVID19  Kelowna "community exposure event", Dr. Henry reports. That's a lot of people forced out work in many cases. Shows how breaking the rules can hurt people around you who weren't breaking the rules themselves.

Let's all hope the Canada-US border does not re-open for a very, very, very long time. #COVID19

Dr. Bonnie Henry's new order for restaurants and pubs stipulates they can be at max. 50% capacity, max. 6 at a table (which must be 2 metres from another table) and that 1 person in a group must provide contact info that must be kept on file for 30 days. Effective Tue. #COVID19

Imagine a terrible weekend event that killed six people and put 9 people in hospital, six of them in Intensive Care. That's what #COVID19  did in BC.
