Tories take Blyth Valley by 700 votes. Been a Labour seat since 1950. Huge moment.

@jrcvid  Seems to me Corbyn has put more energy into point scoring from Johnson’s Islamaphobia than dealing with antisemitism in his own party. I also think you get a huge backlash from people who are staggered that so many on here don’t see antisemitism as a huge issue.

The Brexit election. Ultimately, nothing else mattered. People voted for it in 2016 and didn’t like being denied democracy. The one party which stood for Brexit got in by a landslide. Says everything. Don’t mess with democracy. FWIW I voted to Remain and for Labour. Back to ⚽️

I thought Ranieri was pretty uninspiring at Chelsea. So dread to think what he'll be like at Leicester. Nice fella, but... #wrongchoice

And people are surprised we’ve got no English refs at the World Cup...

Since Troy Deeney was lauded for dishing out lessons to Arsenal on how to behave, he’s had a 3 game retrospective ban, been sent off and now faces a 4 game ban while Watford have lost 6 of the 7 games he’s played in (they drew the other).

Mesut Ozil, the World Cup winner and 5 time German player of the year who got into none of the combined North London XIs, goes off to a standing ovation.

BREAKING: Man City have made a player-plus-cash offer for Alexis Sanchez involving Raheem Sterling. More on @MirrorFootball

Tonight is confirmation of the end for Arsene Wenger. So sad, after everything he has done for the club, that it has to end like this.

Some of Ozil's flicks and tricks today... Honestly, if you can't appreciate Ozil, you can't appreciate good football.

If England fans had done that in Germany last night, the outrage would be incredible. It happens here and we look to excuse it. Bizarre.

Forest fans chanting: "Champions of Europe - you'll never sing that."

Conte been all over Lukaku. But wrong to suggest Jose &ManU haven't been working on it all the time too. They've pulled Chelsea's pants down
