that’s terrible, and i apologize to laura. the point of the thread was not to harass anyone - it was to show to the world the fabulous piece of journalism that we’d just published (this one: ). listen...

to all journalists out there who may be reading this: i love and appreciate your work beyond measure. i know how hard all of your jobs are right now. bullying of journalists is a real problem in 2019. and as a lover of arts journalism, i do not want to be part of the problem.

my twitter feed is currently awash in cruel, school-yard-level internet bullying. i saw an anti-semitic comment about my husband that was so vile it made my stomach turn. no. enough. i will gladly have a civil conversation about media, journalism & patreon with anyone who wants.

there is no fight here. i love the guardian and have no beef with them, with @ben_bt  (an editor there with whom i exchanged tweets yesterday) or laura. so please be kind and don’t target or bother them in any way. thanks.

and meanwhile, oh internet. i’m sending you all my love, and all of you means .... all of you. yes. every one of you. xxx

mama and dada were sleepy this morning but ash was all pumped to go see the new addams family movie (it was, by the way, WONDERFUL). photo by @JustineMarzack

we have all made it to portugal. we are all tired...tired of the internet, mostly, and getting distracted by it all. breaking bread with @Jackofninetales  and @gmotophotos  was the balm i needed. i love these guys. i forget how kerfuffles have such a wide impact on the whole team.

i will be doing a Q&A this friday, nov 29th in london with the walthamstow Rock 'n' Roll Book Club @e17RnR_books ).....we just released a handful of tickets to the public, here:

this is a hard thread to write. i am on a plane bound for chicago, then i fly to st. paul, where i will sit in giant theaters & tell several thousand people (spoiler, sorry) each night about my abortions. yes, abortions. plural. i’ve had three.

this is a reminder in case you need it. everything is going to change. people will leave. they will die. objects and plans will be lost. your script as you wrote it will be ripped or burned again and again and again. you are not alone. it’s happening to all of us. and i love you.

NO. AND IF YOU COME ACROSS AN AMERICAN ARTIST RIGHT NOW WHO HAS NO POLITICAL OPINIONS OR IS AFRAID OF TALKING POLITICS, BE VERY CONCERNED.

georgia’s governor just signed a bill effectively banning abortion after 6 wks -before many women know they’re pregnant. i play georgia may 17 @ the cobb energy center in atlanta. i will tell my own abortion story to a thousand people. i’ll also play some disney songs. please RT.

whatever forces conspired - british people, weddings - to get millions of humans on the planet to simultaneously listen to a black preacher in a white ol’ church & ponder the words of MLK on the redemptive power of love & 1 human family...fuck it. i’m in. good job, #royalwedding

if it isn’t feeling right, don’t play a support role in somebody else’s fantasy, no matter how habitual it is. you’re allowed to be the star of your own fucking life. get on it. 💫💃⭐️

“MR WEINSTEIN WILL SEE YOU NOW” is a crowdfunded artistic battlecry made by over 60 women. today marks 1 year since the NYtimes exposé blasted open #MeToo , but the timing could not be more relevant due to kavanaugh. RT this endlessly. it is very #NSFW :

this was the first i saw when i stumbled out of the tour bus this morning good morning to you too, manchester

{thread + discussion} i’m leaving for the next leg of my global tour today. in london about to board a train to the netherlands for the first show (sold out amsterdam, hooray!) but what’s on my mind right now is crowdfunding, and i want to talk about it for a second if it’s ok.
