#Djibouti is a priority country in #EMR , with a lot of potentials. Glad for the progress in global action plan for healthy lives & wellbeing. WHO spares no efforts to support its implementation & overcome challenges especially #polio  & resource mobilization. -Dr Al-Mandhari

In #EMR  Region, hospitals don't work as they should, because of challenges incl financial constraints & overburden. In emergency areas, hospitals are damaged due to attacks. We need to change the situation around to quality,equity & people-centered systems

The #EMRC66  members discussed today ways to reduce mortality rates among newborns, children and adolescents in the region. #EMR  has the second highest mortality rates across all ages. This has to change. #HealthForAll_ByAll

Using research evidence to develop health policy-making is of vital importance. Evidence-based policy-making is essential to achieving universal health coverage as efforts to achieve this goal must be grounded in robust science. #EMRC66

At least 29 #Syrian  children and newborns are reported to have died, mainly from #hypothermia  , shortly after arriving at #Al_Hol  camp in #AlHasakeh  governorate and spending several nights in the camp’s open-air reception and screening areas.
