At least 3 policemen were killed and 4 were wounded in an attack on a security checkpoint in Takhta Pul district of Kandahar on Thursday night, local police officials said. A security source said that 7 police were killed and 4 police were taken captive. #Afghanistan

At least 30 girls took part in a cycling race in Kabul on Thursday to say no to violence against women and defend women’s rights for education.

At least 10,000 kilograms of explosives hidden inside cement bags on a truck was seized by #NDS  forces on the #Jalalabad-Torkham  Highway in Rodat district of #Nangarhar . The provincial governor Shah Mahmoud Miakhel said the explosives had been brought in from #Pakistan .
