The #PrincetonU  Board of Trustees has voted to remove Woodrow Wilson’s name from the School of Public Policy and International Affairs and residential college.

The public policy school will now be known as “The Princeton School of Public and International Affairs” or @WilsonSchool  and the residential college will be known as “First College.”

Wilson’s racism was significant and consequential even by the standards of his own time, taking America backward in its pursuit of justice. He not only acquiesced in but added to the persistent practice of racism in this country, a practice that continues to do harm today.

As the tragic killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and Rayshard Brooks drew renewed attention to the long and damaging history of racism in America, the board reconsidered the Committee's conclusions and convened a special meeting on June 26.

UNDERGRADUATES Undergrads may return to campus for one semester during the 2020-21 academic year. First-year students and juniors are welcomed to campus for the fall semester, and sophomores and seniors for the spring semester.

We stand firmly with our international students. #PrincetonU  is filing an amicus brief in the lawsuit that @Harvard  and @MIT  brought against @DHSgov  and @ICEgov  earlier today. Read more in a letter from President Eisgruber to the campus community.
