There it is! Phoenix has now experienced its 144th day this year with a high temperature of 100°F or greater, reaching 100°F at 2:37 PM MST this afternoon. This beats the previous record of 143 days set in 1989. #azwx
Phoenix had an unprecedented 53 days of 110° of greater. Even though our annual trend is increasing, this was well out of bounds. However based on how our climate is changing & long term climate modeling, 50 days may become closer to the normal number in 20-40 years.
Wind chills near -50°F in the midwest! That's almost 100 degrees colder than it is here. #azwx #cawx #mnwx
