Not a good look right now, Sir. Seriously.

It’s a fight for the soul of taxidermy, and @alexheard  defends the somewhat indefensible by making the funniest possible case for “the bleakest of hobbies.” (You don’t have to know the legendary magazine editor to appreciate the weirdness, but it helps.)

Former insider Leon Wieseltier, newly emboldened as a pariah, is back in the saddle — and in print — with a brand new magazine. I’m more than intrigued.

Finally got to the end of @KarinaLongworth 's brilliant podcast series on Polly Platt, part of @RememberThisPod . Sad but invigorating. Platt was a true auteur who got buried beneath the all-male veneer of conventional Hollywood history. (Might I humbly suggest Salka Viertel next?)

This brief report cannot fully capture the illiberal ferocity of the Twitter Lynch Mob that came after Roiphe based on what was in fact an unconfirmed rumor. Apologies anyone? Lessons learned?

"We are in the midst of a worldwide, internet-based assault on democracy." And Facebook has some explaining to do.

This piercing and poetic account by @kiwi_yankee ,⁩ a front-line soldier In New York City (who also happens to be my Park Slope neighbor and pal), is the real deal.
