The president credits himself with vaccine development. Moderna timeline shows it began working on a vaccine while the president was still denying the virus was spreading in the US.

At the height of “lockdown” in America, you could take a cab to the airport, fly anywhere you wanted in the country just to go on vacation, rent a car, and then go do whatever with zero legal enforcement of quarantine rules anywhere. But in many cases playgrounds were closed.

Why do you make us wander, LORD, from your ways,and harden our hearts so that we do not fear you? Isaiah 63:17

As more and more schools go back to online learning, I’m urging my colleagues to pass my bipartisan bill to expand access to broadband to millions of families across the nation. 

The THRIVE agenda will help fight climate change. It calls for millions of new jobs in renewable energy and new investments in Black, Hispanic, and indigenous communities. I was proud to introduce it with @SenMarkey , @RepDebHaaland , and grassroots orgs. Watch me and @BillNye :

It’s easy to get mad at teachers unions or bar owners or governors or mayors, but we don’t have any national policy right now to support doing what people say we should be doing. Not one of these groups can change that.

Now we have a somewhat better understanding of things and nobody is closing playgrounds (great!) but we continue to use weirdly draconian terminology like “stay at home order” for rules that don’t remotely mandate staying at home.

“I don’t think it was rigged,” says Sen. Roy Blunt of the election to @DanaBashCNN  on @CNNSotu . Says there was “some element of voter fraud ... I dont think the numbers there would be enough to change the result.”
