Over the filming of the series, the actors grew alongside their characters, and inevitably faced the rite of passage of their first on-screen kiss. ⬇️
Actress Katie Leung recalls that Harry and Cho's first kiss was less than romantic, "because you’ve got the whole crew watching."
“I know it sounds silly,” says producer David Heyman, “but for many of the crew, it was quite an emotional day. We had known Dan since he was ten years old... It was a milestone of sorts."
Daniel Radcliffe had received quite a ribbing from his friends on set, so when Ron's first kiss came around, he was happy to see the tables turned.
Actress Jessie Cave remembers Dan making a point of being on the set that day. “He made his presence known."
As Rupert Grint recalls, "it was embarrassing because our first kiss was in a room full of people, not like Dan’s. He was sort of on his own in the Room of Requirement.
"So we’ve got all these kids cheering, and I’m standing on this little box as well, which didn’t really help... It was over pretty quickly, but it was fun. I think Jessie was doing most of the work."
