The big divisive issue of the day (in woso anyway). FWIW, surprising, though mainly as the England captain is normally very cautious about her public comment, suspect the format meant she was a bit more relaxed (not that I think that was the intention).

Could do with a laugh after last night, so off to see my namesake @TheNewsAtGlenn  at Canterbury (Marginal, LAB hold) this evening.

Bravo @GNev2 . Well said. And it’s time for PL to start partial ground closures.

Rightly overshadowed by other events, and the result, at White Hart Lane today, but a textbook example of VAR working - the Gazzaniga foul on Alonso. Very much a clear and obvious error, though still think ref should look at touchline monitor and make decision himself

#kerrwatch  , missed a 1-on-1 with first touch but electric speed has now resulted in being clattered on edge of box by GK Grace Moloney who is red-carded. @ReadingFCWomen  lead 1-0 through goal by another legend, @fara_williams47  but going to be tough to hold on. 18 gone.

Great Test match, trying to remember when @englandcricket  caught so well, some absolute blinders. Now at last I can get on with some work.

Current @WorldSoccerMag  column on a decade of progress for #Woso : From Turbine Potsdam winning CL in front of 10k and LA Sol going bust, to @BlackYellow  fans demanding a women's team and 60k crowds in Spain, 77k at Wembley

Be interesting if SA follow Shaun Pollock's advice on @SkyCricket  and Mankad Pope. It was at Port Elizabeth that Kapil Dev did it to Peter Kirsten, 1992, prompting an angry response.

English football's most successful clubs are showing why they are meeting on a Monday night in Champions League week

Hello . For the third week in five our little league matches (400 kids involved) are off due to unfit pitches. And we live in the (relatively) dry and warm south east. How about spending a decent share of the TV millions on the grassroots instead of agents?

Parents & youth coaches take note: kids want to play, winning is a bonus not the attraction. This US research mirrors findings

Very sad seeing Wenger humiliated like this. It is his own fault, should have quit after one of the FA Cup wins, but still sad. He's been a hugely positive influence on Arsenal and English football in general.
