Yesterday, my synagogue in Tucson was vandalized. It's heartbreaking to see such a disgusting act in a place where so many are meant to feel safest. Despite these actions, we will not be shaken. Hate has no place in Arizona.

After I was shot, I was able to sing a full song before I could complete a full sentence. Not many people know just how important music has been in my recovery. Thankful to @JudyWoodruff , @annedavenport  & @JeffreyBrown  for letting me share my story.

It was an honor to see my friends @RepValDemings  & @SenBlumenthal  at the Gun Violence Memorial. Every day they show us what it means to have the #CourageToAct . I am grateful for their unrelenting leadership in the fight to end gun violence.

The shooting at Columbine High School was 22 years ago today. Our country has had to reckon with too many school shootings since. My heart is with Littleton as we remember the innocent lives lost that day, and as we fight for a future free from gun violence.

You heard the president, it’s time for Congress to act. Text UNIVERSAL to 34131 to call your Member of Congress and demand action to prevent gun violence.

10 years ago this week I watched @ShuttleCDRKelly  take off on his last flight wi @NASAh  . Leading the crew aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour was Mark’s mission. Recovering from my injuries was mine. All these years later, Mark and I are as committed to serving our country as ever.

It’s the first day of #GunViolenceAwarenessMonth , and I'm spending it thinking of every survivor I've met in the 10 years since I was shot. It's my life's mission to make sure no one else knows the agony of losing someone they love to gun violence.

@JoeBiden  and I agree that pain is best overcome by purpose. I still struggle to speak, but at tonight’s #DemConvention , I made my voice heard. For the safety and future of our country, we must elect @JoeBiden  and @KamalaHarris .

Today it's a tragedy in Boulder, Colorado. This past weekend it was a house party in Philadelphia. And last week it was an armed attack on Asian American women in the Atlanta area. It doesn't have to be this way. It’s beyond time for our leaders to take action.

As I sat waiting for information about @SenMarkKelly’s safety today, I couldn’t stop thinking about what you must have gone through 10 years ago this week. I’m so glad you and your staff are safe. I love you, sweetie.

I’ll never forget the comfort that @JoeBiden  brought Corey after he lost his dad in the Parkland shooting. This powerful new ad from @Your_Americans  illustrates Joe’s character. He has the compassion and leadership to bring this country together.

After I was shot, @JoeBiden  was there for me. And I know he’s been there for countless other survivors of gun violence. Not just with words, but with policies. If you want to see what a real leader looks like—tune in to ABC tonight for Biden's town hall.

I said it then and I'll say it again: words have consequences. Elected officials have a duty to uphold our democracy and lead by example.

History will remember Senator John McCain — and so many who fought before, alongside, and after him — as heroes. Let’s make sure history remembers Trump as a one-term president.

Ten years ago, my life and my community changed forever. I was shot in the head, six people were killed, 12 others injured. But the attack did not break me—or the people I represented in Congress. We came together, turned pain into purpose, and found hope in each other.

You were by my side when I took my oath of office nearly 14 years ago. I’m so excited to be by yours today as you’re sworn in as our next Arizona Senator.

Not many people know that I play the French horn. I hadn’t played since I was child. But after I was shot, I started speech therapy, physical therapy, and music therapy. Relearning an instrument has been a huge part of my recovery, and I’m getting stronger every day.
