The Twins have non-tendered LHP Danny Coulombe, and RHPs Trevor Megill and Juan Minaya.

Minnesota also agreed to terms on 2022 contracts with RHP Jharel Cotton ($700,000) and LHP Caleb Thielbar ($1.3 million).

The Yankees released INF Chris Gittens, who plans to sign with a team in Japan. New York agreed to terms on one-year contracts with RHP Domingo Germán, LHP Lucas Luetge and INF Gio Urshela, avoiding arbitration. The Yankees tendered contracts to all other players on the roster.

A total of 41 players were non-tendered on Tuesday.

The Giants and Alex Cobb have agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $20 million, with a club option for 2024, per source. He'll earn $9 million in both 2022 and 2023, while the option is for $10 million ($2 million buyout).

Also in Cobb's SF deal: He will make a $45,000 annual donation to the Giants Community Fund in both 2022 and 2023, then a $50,000 donation in 2024 if his option is exercised.

The Collective Bargaining Agreement expires at 11:59pm ET tonight. Here’s the latest on where things stand:

The Dodgers and Chris Taylor are closing in on a deal, per source. @JeffPassan  was first on the scene.

Javier Baez and the Tigers are nearing a deal, per source. It is expected to be a six-year contract worth $140 million.

The Los Angeles Angels are releasing future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols today, per sources. Pujols is in the final year of his 10-year, $253 million contract.

BREAKING: Per source, 3B Josh Donaldson has agreed to a four-year deal with the Minnesota Twins.

Trevor Bauer gets $102M for 3 years from Dodgers, per source. He has opt outs after each of the first two years; $40M in 2021, $45M in 2022. He'll be the highest-paid player in MLB history in '21, then again in '22. Good job by @rayluba27  & Jon Fetterolf of @zssports_law .

The Mets will also be getting Carlos Carrasco from the Indians in the Lindor deal, per source.

Wednesday might be the most insane day of postseason baseball ever. Different games will start at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, 7pm and 10pm. Eight postseason games in one day. Whoa.

So Charlie Morton got three outs (with two strikeouts) with a broken leg? That guy is hardcore.

The Cubs are indeed planning on being sellers this month, according to sources. Kris Bryant and Craig Kimbrel appear to be the most likely trade candidates, though others (Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez) could also be available. @Ken_Rosenthal  and @CSNMooney  were all over it.
