The #2020Census  determines not only how you’re represented in government, but where resources are placed and money is spent. Make sure you’re counted and fill out your census today at . #BeCounted

Our country is nothing without its workers. As we recognize #CesarChavezDay  today, let us thank and honor this nation’s workers, especially those on the front lines of this pandemic. Thank you for all that you do.

Equal work should mean equal pay, period. We depend on our workers now more than ever before, and we ought to make sure they’re paid equally, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other factor. #EqualPayDay

South Carolina small business owners, to find out how to apply for assistance under the newly enacted CARES Act, visit this SBA resources page.

The #2020Census  not only decides your government representation, but also where federal resources are allocated and where money is spent. On my latest podcast, I sat down with @TheRevAl  to talk about why we must all #BeCounted . #CensusDay

As social distancing has become a required way of life, remote learning, teleworking, and telehealth all require access to a reliable internet, which many Americans still do not have.

I joined @rollcall 's podcast this morning to talk about why there is a need for an oversight panel for the COVID-19 stimulus package and what's next for our country.

52 years ago I got the news of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. I went home, numb, sat in my house, turned on the radio and just listened. I sat there, the rest of the night. The sun came up with me sitting there.

Last year, the House reauthorized #VAWA  in order to protect victims and survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. It’s still sitting on Mitch McConnell’s desk. It’s time for the Senate to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act.

I met my wife in jail after being arrested during a civil rights march. She brought me food and shared a hamburger with me. Turns out, she knew who I was and had been plotting to meet me for some time. We were married for 58 years.

This President is not above the law. His refusal to comply with House subpoenas in our impeachment inquiry is another unlawful attempt to hide the facts. He’s betraying the constitution, abusing his power, and threatening our national security. He will be held accountable.

Well done, good and faithful servant. Rest in Power my dear friend.

The President’s decision to steal money from the military for his ineffective, wasteful border wall is a violation of the Constitution and undermines America's safety and the military’s morale. The House will continue to fight this egregious abuse of power.

The Violence Against Women Act protects victims and survivors of domestic violence and stalking. We must protect women by permanently reauthorizing this landmark legislation that was originally introduced by my good friend @JoeBiden . #VAWA

Today marks the 150th anniversary of the 15th amendment, giving African American men the right to vote. For much of its first 100 years, the right existed only on paper. And we still face voter discrimination. We must continue to fight to remove all barriers to the ballot box.

Trump & his defenders launch baseless attacks against @RepAdamSchiff  because they want to distract the public from the facts. Trump used the power of his office to pressure a foreign leader for dirt on a political opponent. We will hold him accountable.

Like many, I found it hard to disguise my disgust during the President's recent #SOTU  address. I've compiled four of the more than 30 untruths that he told, and hopefully you'll see why I didn't even try.

We’re going to miss Elijah Cummings. All of us in this body will stand upon his strong shoulders. Thank you Elijah…thank you.
