I don’t understand the premise that Netflix has made any kind of mistake here. They are a for-profit business enterprise. The Closer was popular. That is success. We can debate the contents for our own amusement, but to Netflix it doesn’t matter at all.

What’s fascinating to me is that right now Democrats have decent candidates running longshot senate races in Ohio and Florida while doing nothing at all to differentiate from the national party brand or try to win over the Obama-Trump-Trump swing voters they need to win.

And your solution is what? I mean, I don’t pretend any of us have a solution to the Manchinema problem but 1) people’s anger on here is totally understandable and unjustified, and 2) doing nothing isn’t exactly an option or, for that matter, ‘getting the job done’ either.
