Beginning in Nov, 2,000 low-income families in Chelsea will be given $200-$400 a month to buy food or pay bills. The $3M trial is a version of the universal basic income concept. Chelsea is providing $1.5M, with additional support from United Way & MGH.

Mass reported 827 new Coronaviris cases today - highest single-day total since late May. 7-day average of daily coronavirus cases climbed to 649 - the highest it’s been since late May. The 7-day average was at a low of 138 on July 5th. Stay safe 😷

The City of Cambridge has installed 10 mobile showers in a Harvard Square parking lot for the homeless in the community. “We’re seeing more people living outdoors during COVID and places with showers have had to limit services.” @WBUR
