Global companies are on notice and moving away from dealings with the illegitimate Maduro regime. Don’t risk exposure to significant sanctions. The United States stands in support of the people of Venezuela.

Happy to be in France ahead of @POTUS ’ arrival for the @g7 . Looking forward to laying the groundwork for some productive discussions with our international partners.

More evidence of how Cuba’s regime has the blood of the Venezuelan people on its hands. Venezuela’s military leadership should protect its institutions from Cuban interference harming Venezuelans, not become its puppets.

@FrankKlotzNNSA , appreciate the update on our nuclear modernization program. Ensuring the health of our deterrent is vital. Thanks to all the fine emplo #NNSAees  at

China’s recent escalation of efforts to intimidate others out of developing resources in the South China Sea is disturbing. The United States stands firmly with those who oppose coercive behavior and bullying tactics which threaten regional peace and security.

We condemn in the strongest terms ISIS’ barbaric #kabulblast  on the wedding party in Kabul that left nearly 63 dead and hundreds injured. The US stands with the Afghan government and people.

Significant step taken in Khartoum today. We call on all parties to continue towards the establishment of the technocratic government and transition to democratic elections and inclusion of women in the peace process, in accordance with the will of the Sudanese people.

I wish Nicolas Maduro and his top advisors a long, quiet retirement, living on a nice beach somewhere far from Venezuela. They should take advantage of President Guaido’s amnesty and move on. The sooner the better.

My advice to bankers, brokers, traders, facilitators, and other businesses: don’t deal in gold, oil, or other Venezuelan commodities being stolen from the Venezuelan people by the Maduro mafia. We stand ready to continue to take action.

Our country & civilians are vulnerable today because @BarackObama  did not believe in national missile defense. Let’s never forget that.

The Venezuelan National Assembly has decreed the suspension of crude exports to Cuba following the collapse of the national electrical grid. Insurance companies and flag carriers that facilitate these give-away shipments to Cuba are now on notice.

Answering the call of President Guaido, the U.S. is mobilizing & transporting humanitarian aid for the people of #Venezuela . I applaud the hard work of USAID, the State Department and their partners in preparing critical supplies to move forward this weekend.
