BREAKING: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who charted a course for women’s rights at the U.S. Supreme Court and became a legal, cultural and feminist icon, has died from complications from cancer. She was 87.

WATCH: Trump hears from a reporter that Justice Ginsburg has died. "She just died? Wow. I didn't know that, you're telling me now for the first time." "She led an amazing life. What else can you say? She was an amazing woman...I'm sad to hear that."

Just days before Ginsburg's death, as her strength waned, she dictated this statement to her granddaughter: "My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed."

The Republicans established their principle. If they don’t follow it now Democrats must promise to add two new justices to the court if they take the senate, for a total of 11. Republican corruption can only be met with the strongest means.

BREAKING: Ruth Bader Ginsburg has died. She leaves behind a vital legacy

Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died this evening surrounded by her family at her home in Washington, D.C., due to complications of metastatic pancreas cancer. She was 87 years old.

It seems like the only available move for Democrats is to a) Go on a public relations blitz hyping the “McConnell rule” and trying to tie marginal Republican senators to it and b) levy a credible threat of court packing if the seat is filled before January 2021.

McConnell just released a statement: "President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate."

You can’t start saying McConnell should follow his rule. You have to say what you’ll do when he doesn’t. That’s all that matters. If Dems win the White House and the senate they can undo the effect of the corrupt scotus seats. That’s all that matters. But you have to say it now.
