For families, the terrible loss of a loved one to COVID is exacerbated by the costs of funerals and burials many can't afford right now. That's why @Ocasio2018  and I delivered $2 billion for FEMA to pay funeral and burial costs for families in need—including for countless New Yorkers.

To all the networks booking @NYGovCuomo  on your programs so that he can promote a book that profits off the deaths of over 30,000 New Yorkers including those that died of Covid in nursing homes, you are making our grief worse. It’s truly despicable.

As @realDonaldTrump  fights COVID and fights to get out of #WalterReedHospital  BOZO #DeBlasio  fights to shut down NYC to scare New Yorkers, stop them from working and continue the gloom and doom of the DNC. #hogwash  #fearmongering

#BREAKING : I just signed legislation to guarantee that New Yorkers can vote safely & that EVERY vote counts. All voters can now request an absentee ballot if they are concerned about COVID. Voters can request absentee ballots starting TODAY.

Eric—why is Texas tied for the lowest death rate of the 27 most affected states? Why have more Texans recovered from COVID than any other state & twice the number of New Yorkers? Why is CA spiking more than TX even though it shut down harder & longer than TX?

We lost 84 New Yorkers to COVID-19 yesterday. By any normal standard this is a hideous number. But we are thankful this number has fallen below 100 for the first time since late March.

Remember: We still have about 2,000 new COVID hospitalizations daily. And we lost 540 New Yorkers yesterday. That is a soul-crushing loss. When you feel tired of social distancing, think of those we lost. That's what's at stake here.

We lost 799 New Yorkers yesterday to this invisible enemy. We mourn them and stand in support of their families and loved ones. There are no words that can express our grief and heartbreak. The lives lost to COVID are a loss to the very fabric of NY.
