A plane crash 50 years ago changed the course of U.S. history. Forty-five people were killed, but public attention — and conspiracy theories — seized on Dorothy Hunt, wife of a Watergate conspirator, who was carrying $10,000 in cash.

THREAD: Between 2001 and 2003, Republican Senate staffers hacked into and stole 4,670 files on controversial Bush judicial nominees from 6 Democrats, including me. This scandal amounted to a digital Watergate, not unlike Russia’s hacking of the DNC.

The Democrats and Crooked Hillary paid for & provided a Fake Dossier, with phony information gotten from foreign sources, pushed it to the corrupt media & Dirty Cops, & have now been caught. They spied on my campaign, then tried to cover it up - Just Like Watergate, but bigger!

....had happened to a Presidential candidate, or President, who was a Democrat, everybody involved would long ago be in jail for treason (and more), and it would be considered the CRIME OF THE CENTURY, far bigger and more sinister than Watergate!

I lived through Pentagon Papers and Watergate, Iran Contra and Whitewater and more but 1st time in my life seeing Press trying to keep lid on govt actions rather than fully expose. They hate THAT much. More than they love truth. Sad. Journalism is dead.

Democrats will try to spin the contents of Susan Rice's email. But there is one fact that cannot be denied: multiple officials were meeting with then-President Obama about spying on the incoming administration. The only case close to this in our history is Watergate.

Why did the Obama Administration start an investigation into the Trump Campaign (with zero proof of wrongdoing) long before the Election in November? Wanted to discredit so Crooked H would win. Unprecedented. Bigger than Watergate! Plus, Obama did NOTHING about Russian meddling.

The difference between now and the Watergate era isn't the severity of misconduct— Trump's abuse of power poses a greater threat to our national security than anything Nixon did. The difference today is the apparent willingness of many Republicans to put party over country.

The famous question from the Watergate hearings was, "What did the President know, and when did he know it?" We don't have to ask that of President Trump. He knew everything, and from the beginning. How? President Trump was the central player in this corrupt scheme.

In two years, post-Watergate rules have been obliterated. After Trump, a president under investigation can: Fire the FBI Director leading the probe, Fire the Attorney General not protecting him, and appoint one who will. It’s the most profound attack on rule of law in decades.
