As the state sees a record high number of daily COVID-19 cases, Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and Marion County Public Health Department Director Dr. Virginia Caine announced all K-12 Marion County schools must switch to virtual learning by November 30.

Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett and Marion County Public Health Department Director Dr. Virginia Caine say tougher restrictive measures could be on the way in Marion County if the coronavirus pandemic continues to get worse.

Virginia Caine, as part of Marion County public health order, restricting to 250 people total allowed in stands. That differs from Governor's order, which allows 250 people per set of bleachers.

Marion County Public Health Department Dir. Dr. Virginia Caine: "I have directed the health department to begin stepping up enforcement of the critical mask mandate and social distancing restrictions that we have put in place."
