People who work in grocery stores in the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions now qualify for early vaccination, but only if they are 18 or older, or will turn 18 sometime this calendar year.​

For those who have been asking, Vancouver Coastal Health did an extensive study of Covid transmission in public schools from Sept to Dec of 2020. The lead researcher says it shows there was little transmission and data has been submitted to a journal, awaiting final review.

NEW: Grocery workers in the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health regions over the age of 18 are now eligible for vaccines, says the union representing grocery store employees. Workers will receive info from their employers and union about how they can register. #COVID19BC 

Some restaurant and hospitality workers are being prioritized for COVID-19 vaccinations. Those in Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health regions are now eligible to book an appointment. @CBCtanya  caught up with a few workers moments before they got their jab.

All hospitality staff in the Vancouver Coastal health region are now eligible to book vaccine appointments regardless of age.

After months of working on the frontlines of the pandemic and interacting with thousands of people, grocery workers over 18 years old in the Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health region, will be prioritized for the COVID-19 vaccine.

BREAKING NEWS: B.C.'s top health officials have announced new restrictions for the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health regions for a two-week period, including no social gatherings of any size with anyone outside of your household.
