Typhoon Bising is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility Sunday morning, continuing to weaken while moving east-southeastward over the Philippine Sea, the state weather bureau said in its latest severe weather bulletin. | @RGQuevedo 

Typhoon “Bising” was downgraded to a severe tropical storm on Friday afternoon after it significantly weakened as it moved farther away from Luzon, the state weather service said. | @NikkaINQ 

A total of 302,564 people or 75,448 families were affected by Typhoon Bising, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Friday.

Rough to very rough sea conditions are expected over the northern Luzon seaboards as Typhoon Bising slightly weakens but accelerates moving northeastwards away from landmass, PAGASA said in its 11 a.m. update on Friday.

Strong winds and large waves spawned by Typhoon “Bising” have forced several groups of Filipino fishermen to take refuge in Panatag Shoal, about 240 kilometers southwest of Infanta town in Pangasinan province, now occupied by Chinese fishermen.

Even if Typhoon Bising slightly weakened, it is still expected to bring scattered rainshowers in Cagayan, Batanes, and the Babuyan Islands, according to the state weather service’s forecast issued on Friday morning. | @_neilmercado

At 10:00 p.m., the center of the eye of Typhoon#BisingPH  was located at 490 km East of Basco, Batanes or 495 km East of Itbayat, Batanes; moving Northeastward at 15 km/h. Bising packs maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 185 km/h.
