The increased convenience of telemedicine visits during Covid-19 is spurring calls among patients and doctors to permanently expand access. But financial and privacy watchdogs are spreading a different message: Be careful what you wish for.

“If the bad guys get in through the telemedicine weak link and then plant ransomware, it’ll shut down an entire hospital, and then you can’t care for patients,” one health data privacy expert warned.

I welcome @HHSGov  awarding another $2.5 million in federal coronavirus response funds to expand COVID-19 testing capacity in Arkansas, which will allow hospitals and other healthcare entities in the state to train workforces, procure supplies & equipment, and expand telemedicine.

Another example is telemedicine. We are already seeing several consultations without actually going to the clinic or hospital. Again, this is a positive sign. Can we think of business models to help further telemedicine across the world: PM @narendramodi
